Free Estimate (For Some Items)

We provide free estimates for all amplifiers, standalone turntables including Technics, all Pioneer DJ gear and Macbooks. There may be exceptions to the free estimate for these items, if we have a particularly problematic item and we have to spend too much time troubleshooting them then we may have to charge an estimate fee. The free estimate is available only to normal retail customers, other repair stores sending their work to us for an estimate may incur a bench fee if the repair estimate is not accepted. A bench fee may apply for an estimate on items that are not normally included in the free estimate policy.

Bench Fee and Deposits

We do not typically ask for deposits unless we need to make special parts orders for your repair. You may, however, make a voluntary deposit during intake or before the repair is complete.

In some cases, we may charge a NON-REFUNDABLE bench fee deposit if your item is something unusual that is not normally included in our free estimate.

For large items such as Radiograms, we may ask for an upfront deposit during intake. This is usually refundable if we don’t fix your Radiogram.

Any deposits made go towards the final bill.

Some exceptions may apply.

Warranties:

Warranty period:

  • 12 Month Warranty on repair/servicing workmanship on Technics turntables
  • 90 Day Warranty on repair/servicing workmanship for all other items
  • 12 Month Warranty on Voltage Conversions with HIGH QUALITY Transformers (90 days for other transformers)
  • 90 Day Warranty for everything else including all Macbooks, repair of liquid damage or external parts easily damaged by normal wear, tear & abuse including RCA cables, power cables and tone arms.
  • Second hand sale items have a 6 month limited service warranty and 1 month return policy
  • WE DO NOT WARRANTY PHYSICAL USER DAMAGE (if you break it then it is NOT covered by our warranty)

Warranty terms:

We warrant the Product against defects in workmanship under ordinary consumer use from the date of pick-up. If a defect/problem arises in the Product during this period, we will, at your option, to the extent permitted by law, either repair the Product using either new or refurbished parts that you pay for, or offer some value of store credit that we deem reasonable based on the circumstances. This warranty applies only to hardware components of the Product that are not subject to accident, misuse, neglect, fire or other external causes, alterations, outside repair, or commercial use.

We try to help the best we can to provide support for all repairs, servicing and purchased items outside of the warranty period, including technical support and possible discounts for re-service if deemed appropriate.

Uncollected Items

It is expected of the customer to collect items and pay relevant fees after no more than 60 DAYS of completion. Uncollected goods may be sold or disposed of after this time. If items are not collected after 60 days, a written notice will be given notifying the customer that their item will be sold or disposed of if not collected by a specified date (typically 30 days from written notice).

Prices Subject To Change

The prices on our price list page are a general indication of repair and service fees and may differ slightly from what is advertised. Extra prices apply for additional labour and/or parts replacement.

Rush Fees (Need it urgently?)

We are often busy and we cannot guarantee a quick turnaround on your service/repair. If you require it urgently, for an extra ‘rush fee’ charge we can have it serviced sooner. An extra $100 or more per item may apply. THE RUSH FEE MAY BE NON-REFUNDABLE.
